Literature Text

“You can do this,” breathes the wind. “In your soul, a star glows brighter than the sun. Your love is like none other.”

“Never mind.

I can't love.

The heat from the star burned away my feelings.”

“Love is eternal”, whispered the sun's sweet voice. “Even mine has not been incinerated. Passion is immortal, and it cannot be stopped.”

“There is nothing I can feel passionate about. In it's desperate escape, the fire within me suffocated, transforming my eyes to ashes; I can no longer see, nor sense anything. As those pitiful piles smoke to relieve the pain, the oxygen transformed my frustration into heavy tears, mixed with blood.”

“Your cheeks are a riverbed”, the shadows whisper as they envelop, knowing the protection sought. “Is that a bad thing? You still feel. A light shines within you, illuminated by your very soul, and coexists with your rivers; nothing can be quenched, nor evaporated. It feels like destruction, but you are at peace. Your soul is another world, and though you sense a war within it, it is only the thriving of life within. . . Your beautiful life.

And I will always listen, and I will always be here to protect you.”

Another nothing.

Would you say this is poetry or prose?
Usually I just write what comes to mind, but I don't really know how to categorise?

The cover image, also, is definitely not mine. It's also unofficial and I'm using it as a placeholder until I can think of something better ... I just really don't like it when my literatures don't have images ;~; If you are or know the owner of this picture, you have every right to ask me to take it down.

I also hope it does not sound bad. I don't use a category but I'm not really a beginner to writing. I hope you can like this~

Sometimes poetry can be written in prose (at least, here it is a common thing not to write poetry in verse. I actually find it easier to write in prose most of the time).
